Baked BBQ Chicken Casserole

Baked BBQ Chicken Casserole

These baked BBQ chicken tenders are the easiest to prep, cook and eat. You can prep the chicken with the seasoning the day before to marinate in the fridge, or bake it for dinner instantly. This is a fast prep and easy clean up dinner at my house.

This is a recipe on repeat that I can almost use without peeking at the instructions. When you are short on time, this recipe hits a homerun! I have served it with streamed vegetables, french fries or rolled up in a tortilla before. Our favorite is served with steamed broccoli, mozzarella cheese sticks and a tortilla. Don't forget your drink!!

Here is the ingredient list: Prepare and sit aside.

Combine spices with chopped chicken.

Add chicken to a sprayed casserole dish and spread over bottom. Next, add your favorite BBQ sauce over the top, leaving no holes. I never measure the BBQ sauce, so maybe about 1/3 cup. Spread BBQ sauce evenly over the chicken. Then, sprinkle onions and bell pepper over that, pressing down around chicken. Sprinkle lightly with salt and you are ready to bake.

Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. {These dishes are great to use on  AMAZON.} Stir to break apart chicken and bake additional 5 to 10 minutes until chicken is done at 165 degrees. {Another great product to use is a cooking probe. Check out this really cheap one I found on AMAZON.} You can also add more BBQ sauce as desired after cooking.

I serve this with steamed veggies, on tortilla chips or french fries, or with cheese.
The possibilities are unlimited!!

I hope you like this recipe as well as my family does. Check out more recipes on my Pinterest page.
